US rate updates effective January 1, 2024

The following state, county, municipal and district taxes are set to change effective January 1, 2024. The rate changes below will be automatically reflected in the Fonoa tax engine.

California

The city of Goleta will increase the general sales tax rate from 7.75% to 8.75%.

Colorado

Florida

Collier County repealed the 1.00% county sales tax.

Hawaii

A 0.5% county-level tax will be effective in Maui County.

Georgia

Lousiana

  • Riverplex Megapark EDD (Ascension Parish) will have boundary changes.
  • Grand Cane (Desotho Parish) will increase the city sales tax rate from 1.00% to 1.25%.
  • Town of Slaughter (East Feliciana Parish) will introduce a 1% city sales tax.
  • Town of Delcambre (Iberia Parish) will increase the city sales tax rate from 1.00% to 2.00%.
  • Jefferson Davis Parish will introduce Jennings EDD #1 and Welsh EDD #1.
  • City of Scott (Lafayette Parish) will increase the city tax rate from 2.00% to 3.00%.
  • Cheneyville (Rapides Parish) will decrease the city tax rate from 4.50% to 3.50%.
  • Rayville (Richland Parish) will increase the city sales tax rate from 0.50% to 1.50%.
  • Tensas Parish will introduce Schools EFI District rate increase by 0.50%.
  • Town of Delcambre (Vermilion Parish) will increase the city sales tax rate from 1.00% to 2.00%.

The city of Kimball will decrease its local sales and use tax rate from 1.5% to 1%.

Utah

The county of Utah will institute a 0.2% County Public Transit sales tax.

Wisconsin

The county of Milwaukee will increase the general sales tax rate from 0.5% to 0.9%.

The city of Milwaukee will introduce a 2% sales tax.
