US Sales Tax Rate Updates for March 2025

The following state, county, municipal and district taxes are set to change effective March 1, 2025.

Alabama

The Town of Citronelle has eliminated the police jurisdiction outside the corporate limits of the city. Thus, the Town of Citronelle taxes and fees will no longer be levied within the former police jurisdiction area as of March 1, 2025.

Louisiana

Eros (Jackson Parish) will abolish its city tax, resulting in a 9% total sales tax rate.

New York

Suffolk County will increase its local sales and use tax rate from 4¼% to 4⅜%.

Tennessee

The City of Gallatin will increase its local sales tax rate to 2.75%.
